On Bourbon St, looking for Beignets… you would think they would be everywhere, well they are not and the lines, we are talking about waiting an hour standing in line, just to get to order from the counter. So, I moved off Bourbon Street to Canal St, and it was just as bad, and I left disappointed .. insert frowny face .. on my way back to home base, I Googled this cute little Beignet shop; Beignet Au Lait in Slidell, LA (not pictured). very yummy, hot and powdered sugar was all over me, the evidence was very clear, I ate them in the truck!
